The Department for the History of Culture and Art in its collections preserves exhibits of high artistic and historical value that speak of the very turbulent and rich development of culture and art in the area where today's Podgorica was born and developed.
Our museum preserves Praznična's minuet, which was printed in 1538 and which illustrates in the best way all the opulence of Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin's printed graphics. In addition to Minej, the museum also keeps the first sheet from the Travellers' Collection printed in 1536, on which there is the coat of arms of Božidar Vuković, as well as the Travelers Collection printed by his son Vicenco, after his father's death in 1547.

Museums
The Podgorica Museum of the former Titograd was founded on April 8, 1950, first as a collection center for the future museum, and since 1961 as the Native Museum. By integrating with the Modern Gallery and the Gallery of Risto Stijović in 1974, this institution exists as the Museums and Galleries of Titograd, i.e. Podgorica.
City museum
The City Museum is the main seat of museums and galleries in Podgorica. Paintings by great Montenegrin painters are constantly on display.
